Denver's green roof ordinance has the potential to create hundreds of acres of viable rooftop farms. We work with building owners, tenants, and permaculturists to create living farms that provide benefits to all stakeholders.
For each acre of rooftop we put under cultivation, we expect to provide seasonal greens for 50 families and provide 1-2 living wage jobs.
Green roofs also have enormous benefits for society at large; in Denver, we can reduce storm water runoff and clean rainwater of heavy metals before it reaches or rivers and creeks. By reducing storm water runoff, Denver can avoid contentious infrastructure projects such as the Park Hill project which tore down a number of mature trees.
We satisfy all of the maintenance requirements of Denver's green roof ordinance at no-cost to building owners. For more information contact us.
